The building treats your move like any other contractor visit: registration, insurance, permitted hours, protective boarding. We handle all of it and send the crew and vehicle details to security in advance.

A lot of Tecom moves are ten to forty desks rather than a household. Workstations are dismantled and labelled by seat, IT is boxed by user, and the new floor is set out to a plan so people sit down and work on the Sunday morning.

Out-of-hours moves are common here and we plan for them where the building permits it.

Barsha Heights was planned by TECOM Group, part of Dubai Holding, and renamed from Tecom in the mid-2010s, but there is no single community app that issues move permits here. Each tower was built by its own developer, and each one's building management issues its own moving NOC.

In practice that means applying to your tower's management office, usually two to three days ahead, with the registered tenancy contract and your Emirates ID. Many also ask for the mover's trade licence and insurance certificate, and some hold a refundable deposit against the lift and lobby. The towers face Sheikh Zayed Road, but nothing loads from it. Vehicles come in on the internal streets behind the clusters, close to the Sharaf DG and Dubai Internet City metro stations, and those streets are busy with school runs and office traffic in the morning and from late afternoon.

We agree the loading point with security before the day: the basement ramp where the vehicle fits, otherwise a marked bay at street level with a short trolley run. Older towers have tighter ramps than the newer ones, which is why the vehicle is chosen at survey rather than on the morning. A one-bedroom move normally needs a three-tonne truck and two movers; a two-bedroom, a seven-tonne truck and three.

Most Barsha Heights moves are short: across the road to Al Barsha villas and apartments, along Sheikh Zayed Road to JLT and the Marina, or the reverse when a tenancy ends. The distance is minutes; the time goes on the two lift bookings, so we confirm both windows before the date is fixed.

If the new tenancy starts a few days after the old one ends, storage covers the gap, wrapped and inventoried, and the delivery is booked into the new building's lift slot.
