Moving cost calculator for Dubai and the UAE

Six questions that size your move the way a surveyor would: volume, crew, vehicle and cartons. It does not invent a dirham figure, because a number generated from dropdowns is the kind that gets revised on move day.

Answer the questions, then send the summary and we will price it properly in writing.

1. What are you moving out of?
2. How furnished is it?

This moves the estimate more than the bedroom count does.

3. What is the access like?

Access decides the crew size.

4. Who is packing?
5. How far is it going?
6. Do your dates leave a gap?

Why we size the job instead of guessing a number

Every mover in Dubai can produce a figure in ten seconds. Very few will hold it.

Moving prices in the UAE follow four things: volume, access, packing and distance — roughly in that order. Distance matters least. An easy Dubai to Abu Dhabi run is often cheaper than a same-building move with a broken service lift, because the cost is people and time rather than kilometres.

That is why this tool gives you volume, crew, vehicle and cartons instead of a dirham figure. Those four numbers are what a surveyor writes down, and they are what you should be comparing between companies. If two quotes differ and the crew size differs, you have found the reason.

Take the summary to any mover, not only to us. A company that will not tell you its crew size and vehicle size in writing is quoting a number it intends to revise.
