Street-level planning
Where a large vehicle cannot park close to the door, we shuttle with a smaller van, which is slower but far better than a two-hundred-metre carry in July.
We avoid school drop-off and pick-up windows on residential streets, which keeps neighbours on side.
Older homes, tighter turns
Jumeirah villas often have narrow internal stairs and original doorways. Large sofas and beds are dismantled rather than forced, and door frames are padded on the route.
