Registration and timing

Notice periods and building management
Al Reem Island has no single community office for moves. Each tower — Sun and Sky Towers and the Gate Towers in Shams Abu Dhabi, the Marina Square towers, City of Lights, Najmat — has its own building management with its own form, deposit and service lift booking. Most ask for a move-in or move-out notification five to seven working days in advance, and passenger lifts are not allowed for furniture.
Al Reem moved under ADGM jurisdiction in 2023, and property registration moved to the ADGM Registration Authority in January 2025. Ask your landlord or agent which document the building wants to see before it will approve the move; we handle crew and vehicle registration once it is approved.
Timing around Abu Dhabi's truck restrictions
Abu Dhabi Mobility restricts heavy vehicles on Abu Dhabi Island's main roads during the morning and afternoon peaks, and the bridges onto Al Reem sit on those routes. We time the vehicle's arrival and departure outside those windows, which matters most on moves from Dubai, where the truck leaves before dawn.
Inside the towers, basement clearance usually decides the vehicle size, and long corridor runs to the service lift are done on protected trolleys.
