Moving a large Al Shamkha villa
A seven-bedroom Al Shamkha villa can hold two or three truckloads once the majlis, the dining hall, the store rooms and the garden are counted. We survey on site or by video, list every room, and usually plan two days: the first to pack and dismantle, the second to load, drive and place. Where the volume needs it, a second vehicle runs alongside the first rather than a single truck making two trips.
Majlis seating, heavy wooden dining sets, large mirrors and carpets are the pieces that suffer on a rushed move. They are wrapped in blankets and film in the house, carried rather than dragged, and set out in the new majlis in the arrangement you want.
